7th Grade Name Sculptures (A Day)

Our 7th grade A day is really coming along!  

OBJECTIVE: Students will demonstrate prior knowledge of the elements of art by creating three dimensional representations of their names utilizing all seven along with the principles of balance and unity. 

PROCEDURES:

Pencil drawing of block/bubble names.

Decorate both sides using colored pencils and markers (each letter must accurately represent an element of art.

Cut out and build.

Students will be given a cardboard circle base to decorate as well. 

Students will be taught the tab and notch methods of connecting the tagboard/heavy cardstock.
